CINCINNATI, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Janice E. Davenport has been named general manager of VITAS Innovative Hospice Care(R) of Cincinnati.
Davenport came to VITAS after more than seven years as the owner and operator of Care Coordination Consulting Group, an individual case management services firm in Denver, Colorado. Earlier in her career, Davenport served in senior management roles at several organizations, including a hospice and home health services company, and a skilled nursing services firm. She has held a variety of supervisory positions in the hospital management arena as well.
“At VITAS’ Cincinnati program, we’re working to expand community outreach through our volunteers, our community liaisons and our educational programs,” said Davenport. “It is important for families in the greater Cincinnati area to understand the benefits of hospice, and to know that hospice is available to them.”
In addition to top quality clinical and palliative care, VITAS’ Cincinnati program includes pastoral care and bereavement services, a popular pet therapy program, and a thriving volunteer services program. “Our next volunteer training seminar is forming now,” added Davenport. “We encourage anyone who’d like to become a hospice volunteer to call us at (513) 742-6310 to take part in this worthwhile free training.”
Davenport earned her bachelor of science degree and her master of business administration degree from Bedford College, London, England.
