Now, in addition to their broad selection of pivot, locking and fall type support products, Guden is introducing the multi-position functionality of it's new CAM-STAY line. They're perfect for any application that might need the lid or cover to be held in several positions, and you won't need an extra hand to manually release them to be closed.
This new product is available in either a 8.97" (228mm) or 14.58" (369mm) length. Each stay is able to stop and hold in several positions; 5 positions for the smaller size and 10 for the larger size. To close your application, simply raise the lid to extend the standard Cam-Stay to the full open position. The larger version is also offered in a reversible style which has 6 available holding positions, and only requires a slight raising of the lid or cover to disengage the hold to allow the Cam-Stay to close. A great perk for when you may not want to fully open the application just to close it, or maybe there's just not enough room to do it.
To withstand many environments, the Cam-Stay body and positioning system is composed of a sturdy zinc-plated steel. And due to this strong construction, each stay can comfortably and securely support up to 275 pounds. Each part is also assembled with a high quality internal plastic guiding piece that allows for a smooth extension and retraction, and allows it to be used in temperatures up to 175F.
Each part is supplied with a .322 diameter mounting hole on each end to be used in a variety of mounting configurations. For even more mounting options, Guden also offers flat and 90 degree brackets with a threaded post and clevis pin to use with the new Cam-Stay.
