GAINESVILLE – Governor Jeb Bush today addressed more than 400 Florida life science researchers, venture capitalists, students and industry leaders at “Intersections: Converging Fields, Emerging Opportunities,” BioFlorida’s 9th annual conference. Governor Bush highlighted Scripps Florida, the Burnham Institute, the Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies, and the state’s rapidly expanding biotech infrastructure as foundations for growing Florida’s economy through the converging fields of biomedical research, advanced medical technologies and drug discovery and diagnostics.
