MARTINSRIED, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Proteros biostructures today announced that Dr. Gerhard Müller has joined the management team to lead the company´s service initiative in fragment based lead generation. Gerhard joins the Proteros group as Chief Scientific Officer and Managing Director of the newly founded 100% subsidiary company Proteros fragments GmbH and has responsibility for the design and further expansion of the company´s in-house compound and fragment library, the fragment evolution process, and the transition into lead optimisation. Gerhard will in this context also work very closely with Mercachem B. V., Proteros´ chemistry partner in the recently announced joint offering regarding structure based lead generation.
