Enviance Announces EH&S Compliance System Enhancements

CARLSBAD, Calif., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Enviance, a provider of Internet-based solutions that streamline the management of complex environmental, health and safety (EH&S) compliance activities, today announced a host of system enhancements, which will help customers achieve increased confidence in their compliance assurance efforts.

Building on its proven success in air and water compliance management, Enviance introduced comprehensive waste management capabilities as well as enhancements to inspection, incident and audit features. These improvements will help companies dramatically reduce the time, cost and risk associated with compliance management through the promotion of consistent best practices and long-term institutional memory.

The generation of waste is an inevitable by-product of industrial activity. The effective management of that waste -- from cradle to grave -- is a critical and essential enterprise activity. However, by using piecemeal solutions to manage waste compliance, companies risk missing important information that is required to comply with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and, as a result, expose themselves and the environment to considerable liability. The comprehensive approach offered by Enviance helps mitigate that risk.

Enviance waste management capabilities were developed and implemented following extensive consultation with leading companies in the utilities, oil & gas and chemical industries, all of which require the flexibility to categorize and organize waste documentation according to existing business processes. The Enviance System includes procedures and workflow processes to integrate treatment, storage and disposal facilities (TDSFs), as well as transporters, ensuring a seamless cradle to grave certification process. This new functionality introduces to the market a waste management system that delivers the level of collaboration and automation that Enviance customers have enjoyed in the air and water compliance areas.

Also integrated into this release is a closed-loop system for audits, incidents, and inspections, providing the analytical power to examine incident root causes through data patterns -- critical to improving performance over time. In addition, system flexibility is bolstered by advanced calculation capabilities and the expansion of customization features, including the ability to import data from flat files.

"Enviance is the only provider of on-demand compliance services, and this release deepens the breadth of our robust and unique product," said Lawrence Goldenhersh, President and CEO, Enviance. "These new capabilities and features are the direct result of the input of our customers, who are leaders of industry in their own right. With our customers as partners in innovation, we expect to accelerate our already rapid pace of product enhancement."

Goldenhersh added, "More and more companies are recognizing that EH&S compliance requires an enterprise-wide commitment and that the failure to share and report on accurate information has tangible, negative costs -- both financially and to corporate reputation. Only Enviance provides a low barrier-to-entry solution which quickly results in improved performance and lowered risk."
