February 11th. Sunnyvale, CA. Clinovo volunteered at the 4th Annual Glaucoma 360 Gala on February 7th, 2014 held at the historic Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California. The Glaucoma 360 Conference is a series of three events launched by the Glaucoma Research Foundation to highlight the latest progress in glaucoma and the development of novel therapies. The foundation, created in 1978 and headquartered in San Francisco, is America’s oldest and most experienced institution dedicated to preventing vision loss from glaucoma. The gala is a benefit with the aim of raising funds in support of the foundation.

Clinovo showed its support with the presence of Business Development Manager, Joshua Elvert, who volunteered at the gala and attended the New Horizons Forum. Of his experience volunteering, and hearing first-hand the innovations that are happening in this space he stated emphatically:

“It’s amazing to see what is being developed to better treat individuals who suffer from glaucoma. Current methods of patient care can greatly be increased through the research being conducted today. Also, to see a panel full of competitors competing companies in the space speaking to their activities to further a single cause was inspiring.”

Attracting individuals interested to speed the cure and prevent vision loss from glaucoma, the audience was comprised of industry leading executives, early stage pharmaceutical, medical device, and drug delivery companies, Venture Capitalists, CROs, scientific innovators, key opinion leaders and leading ophthalmologists.
