Blue Cross Blue Shield Of Michigan Reaches New Master Labor Agreement With United Auto Workers

DETROIT, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan reached a new three-year master labor agreement with its 2,984 employees represented by four United Auto Workers locals across the state. The agreement was ratified by the UAW membership over the past weekend.

"We are pleased to reach a new master labor agreement with the UAW, the culmination of three months of discussions," said George F. Francis III, senior vice president and chief administrative officer for the company. "Throughout the bargaining process, we worked with our UAW partners in a positive way, achieving what is the best interest of both parties."

The company has offices across the state, including Detroit, Grand Rapids, Southfield, Lansing and Marquette.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is nonprofit and an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
