March 17, 2011 -- Young scientist or student with passion is an ideal candidate to take part in international BioBusiness Competition for the most innovative idea in biotechnology field. Sign-up is open till April 23rd and the final of this competition will take place on May 12th during BioForum 2011 - Central European Forum of Biotechnology and Innovative BioEconomy.
Due to the fact, that students need to improve their manager skills and show themselves in the spotlight, BioForum organizators decided to give an opportunity for the most competitive students. We are looking for people with passion, who are able to prove that they are the future of biotechnology - says BioForum manager, Edyta Wodzinska. “By giving them chance to present themselves during our event, we give them opportunity to join the international world of business and life science - she adds.
The most innovative and creative approach to the subject is the key to the success in this competition which is very prestigious. The participants will be evaluated by the representatives of the Central European biotechnology association like Hungary biotechnology association and CzechBio. It not only be a great chance for students to validate their own skills of presentation but also it will be an excellent opportunity to meet the most important persons of biotechnological world.
For several years, education system tries to broaden the horizons of the youngest discoverers. Universities are creating special “Kid Universities” for 10 year old learners. Such children are undoubtedly future of science and can become competitors in next editions of our competition. We asked children from Primary School in Szpetal Gorny , what does biotechnology mean for them? The mostly repeated answer was that “biotechnology is a sphere which makes chemistry and industrial fields meet to produce materials for people”.
During two days of BioForum, students can take part in lectures conducted by the world famous experts, such as: Tom Zioncheck (Senior director of Business Development at Genentech, USA), Erno Duda (CEO at Solvo Biotechnology, Hungary) or Bryan Tan (Director at Keystone Law Corporation Singapur).
Additional attraction for the participants will be jobvector career day. On May 11th, event will create an opportunity for students, PhDs and also people with professional experience to get known with natural science and technology labor markets. Moreover, on May 12th BEST and ASSB invite for scholar’s workshops which main point will be proper behaviour during job interviews (BEST) and 4 secrets of Career & Business with PASSION (ASSB).
