Airborne to Pay $30 Million to Settle False Cold-Fighting Claim

WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Airborne Health Inc. of Bonita Springs, Fla., will pay $30 million to settle a false advertising lawsuit, the Federal Trade Commission said Friday. The FTC complain claimed there was “no credible evidence that Airborne products, taken as directed, will reduce the severity or duration of colds,” FTC director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection Lydia Parnes said in a statement.
