MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Positive results from the Research in Severe Asthma (RISA) Trial were reported at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology by Rob Niven, MD of South Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust, Manchester, United Kingdom. Clinically and statistically significant improvements in pulmonary function, asthma control, and quality of life, as well as a reduction in use of rescue medications, were observed following the bronchial thermoplasty procedure in patients with severe asthma.
