ALACHUA, FL – April 12, 2016 – Sid Martin Biotechnology Institute, a leading biosciences incubator at the University of Florida, announced a new technology startup, ReliOx™ Corporation, has been admitted into its bio-business program located in Alachua. The Institute offers startups collaborative, open workspace combined with financial, technical and human resources to nuture startups’ growth and success.
ReliOx™ - Green Clean Technology
ReliOx Corporation is a newly-funded startup company created from University of Florida green clean technology invented by Dr. David Richardson, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS), and commercialized by Ian and Cristina Knapp and the ReliOx team. The company takes a novel, green chemistry approach to the manufacture of Chlorine Dioxide which can destroy all known pathogenic agents and eliminate most noxious or hazardous odors with no harmful side effects. The new technologies are comprised of a family of methods unique for producing, delivering and transporting Chlorine Dioxide.
Target Markets
ReliOx represents a new approach for chemical destruction in the $7 billion Odor Control market and for agents in the $17 billion Janitorial, Healthcare, R&D, Food/Beverage and Process Water target markets.
