Sonic Innovations, Inc. Celebrates Company's First Receiver-In-Canal Hearing Aid

Sonic officials say the new Sonic Touch(TM) hearing aid is smallest receiver-in-canal product available

SALT LAKE CITY, April 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sonic Innovations, Inc. will celebrate its first receiver-in-canal ("RIC") device, Sonic Touch(TM), at the Audiology NOW! Conference to be held in Dallas, Texas, April 2 through 4, 2009. Company officials say the Sonic Touch(TM) product is the smallest receiver-in-canal product available in the market.

Sonic Touch(TM) is offered at three technology levels and available in a choice of five base colors and 15 accent color clips. The three Sonic Touch(TM) products are readily identified by the number of processing channels. Sonic Touch(TM) 6 has six channels and two programs, Sonic Touch(TM) 12 has 12 channels and three programs, and Sonic Touch(TM) 24 has 24 channels, four programs and voice alerts. "The Sonic Touch(TM) product represents a major step forward for Sonic Innovations and our industry as a whole. In addition to its sophisticated design, incredibly small size and ease of use features, Sonic Touch(TM) has the best moisture resistance of any RIC product on the market," said Innovations CEO, Sam Westover.

Westover noted that the Sonic Touch(TM) products incorporate many of the sound processing technologies present in Sonic Innovations' Velocity(TM) series of hearing solutions. Touch provides natural sound quality, superior noise reduction and the finest directionality, driven by Sonic's unique DIRECTIONALfocus technology.
