Toronto, Canada, (January 11, 2005) - Patheon Inc. (TSX:PTI) announced today that RBC Capital Markets, CIBC World Markets Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., TD Securities Inc. and Paradigm Capital Inc. have exercised the over-allotment option granted in connection with Patheon's recent offering of 26,000,000 common shares to purchase an additional 2,600,000 common shares at a price of $8.60 per share, resulting in gross proceeds to the company of $22,360,000. The over-allotment transaction closed today.
