As California and the nation struggle with historically high rates of unemployment, life science companies continue their search for qualified candidates in an industry that offers lucrative, benefited careers and career growth.
BayBio is at the center of this effort to connect qualified professionals with talent-seeking companies and will host a Career Fair at its 2011 Annual Conference on April 20th in Burlingame.
Job seekers will be able to connect with companies that work on innovative products that feed and fuel the world, treat disease, and provide solutions to some of the globe’s most pressing challenges – and with an industry that places high value on the ongoing development of its employees. In addition to opportunities to interact with industry human resource professionals and hiring managers, the career fair will offer job seekers a free resume clinic to ensure that they are representing their skill sets in a compelling manner. This is an opportunity for talented job seekers to get hired by the next Genentech and to become part of the discovery process.
Participating companies will have access to a pool of talented professionals who have experience in the bioscience industry in addition to qualified PhD’s and postdocs. All job seekers will have either a minimum of a four-year degree and/or a Certificate from a recognized biotech program and two years of industry related work experience.
Exhibiting Companies: BaySide Solutions BioMarin Pharmaceuticals Codexis FibroGen Gilead Johnson & Johnson MedImmune Nektar San Jose State University Solazyme Ultragenyx (as of 3/29/11)
