NanoInk's Dr. Ruby Lam, senior applications scientist, will give an oral presentation titled, "Direct Deposition of Biomaterials Using Dip Pen Nanolithography," on Monday, June 4, at 2:15 p.m. in the Gaoxin Room. The presentation will focus on direct patterning of different biomaterials including proteins, DNA, and biocompatible polymers in micrometer scale and describe some of the potential applications.
On Tuesday, June 5, at 4:15 p.m. in the Shudu Room, NanoInk's Dr. Saju Nettikadan, director of applications development, will give an oral presentation titled, "Fabrication of Sub 100 nm Arrays of Gold Nanostructures for Protein and DNA Immobilization." The presentation will focus on fabrication of nanoscale features and describe its use for specific attachment of biomolecules including DNA and proteins.
Dr. Saju Nettikadan and Dr. Ruby Lam will also each give poster presentations focusing on fabricating precise micro-environmental arrays. The presentations will show that direct deposition of extracellular matrix proteins as well as biocompatible polymers are used to control cell cluster size, to place multiple cell types in co-culture, and for targeted delivery of materials to single or few cells. Dr. John Collins' poster presentation, titled, "Multiplexed Patterning at Sub-cellular Scale for Single Cell Manipulation and Characterization," is on Tuesday, June 5 at 1:15 p.m. in the Wuhou Room and Public Area and will be presented by Dr. Saju Nettikadan. Dr. Ruby Lam will give her poster presentation titled, "Cell Patterning and Modulation by Functional Polymeric Microarrays," on Tuesday, June 5 at 1:15 p.m. in the Jinsha Room.
The World Biomaterials Congress is hosting its ninth conference and will have eighty-one symposia, five workshops, and three forums that will coincide with its theme "Innovative Biomaterials and Crossing Frontiers in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine."
