Medical Device CRO, North American Science Associates (NAMSA), Gets Ohio Tax Credit for Lab Expansion, Creating Jobs

Medical device clinical research organization North American Science Associates (NAMSA) has received a tax credit from the state of Ohio for a 20,000 square foot expansion of its Toledo-area headquarters. The Ohio tax credit helped convince the company to expand in Ohio rather than acquire new lab space in France or China, according to vice president of operations Gina Skolmowski. NAMSA has about a dozen locations across the globe, including one in France, and the company considered adding space to that location. Additionally, NAMSA plans to open an office in China early next year, and the company considered adding lab space to that office, Skolmowski said.
