Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CEO, Workers Out as Merck & Co., Inc. Closes Inspire Headquarters

Inspire Pharmaceuticals President and CEO Adrian Adams will be departing the company by the end of the month as a result of Merck's acquisition of the Raleigh-based drug company.

A Merck spokesman added that the company will close Inspire's administrative headquarters in Raleigh this year.

A number of senior executives will depart immediately, and efforts are under way to look into available positions within Merck for Inspire’s 175 employees nationwide.
