Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America Grows Indoor Cycling Event With New Locations This Fall

NEW YORK, May 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) announced today that its spin4crohn's & colitis cures indoor cycling event will expand to 18 markets across the nation in 2016: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Fairfield/Westchester, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Twin Cities.

spin4 crohn's & colitis cures is an indoor cycling event that raises funds for research, awareness, and patient services. Individuals form teams of up to four people per bike and participate in a two-hour indoor cycling relay. Alternatively, solo riders can take on the entire ride themselves. Each bike has a $1,000 fundraising commitment for CCFA. Professional instructors will lead teams to high-energy music offering a lively workout experience. The event is capped off with a celebratory party to reward participants for their efforts in the stationary bike relay and fundraising success. Don't live in a market with an event? Ashlyn is in the zero percentile in height and weight because colitis has impeded her growth, making her fall victim to bullying. Silk raised $3,000 for CCFA through spin4 crohn's & colitis cures last year.

"As soon as she was diagnosed, I went straight into 'mommy mode.' I knew I needed to do something to help my child," said Silk.
