BioSystems International Announces Appointment of a New CEO

EVRY, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BioSystems International ("BSI") is a French biotechnology company with research laboratories in France (Genopole Evry) and Hungary (University of Debrecen). BSI’s business is focused on the discovery and diagnostic development of biomarkers, based on its proprietary high throughput monoclonal antibody technology.

Prior to joining BSI, Jean Pierre Tirouflet was Chairman and CEO of the French specialty chemicals company Rhodia. He was Chief Financial Officer of Rhône Poulenc from 1986 to 1997 and member of its Executive Board from 1990 to 1999. Mr Tirouflet has been Chairman of the CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council) from 2002 to 2004.

Formerly, he worked for the French Ministry of Finances, the French Representation to the EEC and the Crédit National . He is a graduate of France’s Ecole Nationale d’Administration.
