Published: May 01, 2009

Charlotte, North Carolina, May 1, 2009 – Arcus Medical, LLC, a leading innovator and manufacturer of patented medical devices, announced today that it has been accredited by the ACHC as a critical prerequisite to achieve status as a Medicare approved Durable Medical Equipment supplier. By attaining accreditation, Arcus Medical has demonstrated its commitment to maintain a higher level of competency and strive for excellence in its products and customer satisfaction.

ACHC, a private, not-for-profit corporation which is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards, was developed by home care and community-based providers to help companies improve business operations and quality of patient care. Referring to the value of accreditation, ACHC President Tom Cesar indicated, “The survey process leads an organization to examine its policies and practices continually to clarify its strengths and improve its weaknesses.”

“As we continue to strengthen our fundamental capabilities, achieving accreditation status by ACHC is a pivotal milestone for our company and it reinforces our continuing work to build a world-class company,” said Michael LaCount, President and CEO of Arcus Medical. “Accreditation enables us to accelerate our pursuit of attaining status as a Medicare approved supplier. Furthermore, it gives us the opportunity to expand our product portfolio with additional Medicare covered products to better serve the needs of our clients.”

Mark Miskie, Arcus founder and its Chief Operating Officer added, “Accreditation highlights our work to continuously improve our business to better serve our clients and to create shareholder value. Our next step is to gain full Medicare approval and make our innovative products more accessible to both new and existing Medicare eligible clients.”
