Shanghai Conference Results Part I; Medical Technologies

SOLANA BEACH, Calif., April 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bridgetech Holdings International, Inc., , announced today the results of the "The Seminar on U.S. High Tech Products" that it co-hosted with The Shanghai Huaxia Culture & Economy Promotion Association and the Shanghai Promotion Association of Tech -- Transfer, in Shanghai.

On March 23rd and 24th, Bridgetech co-hosted a conference at the CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) headquarters in Shanghai. The focus of the seminar was new technologies being introduced to China by subsidiaries and partners of Bridgetech. The Master of Ceremony was the Chairman of the CPPCC, Zhu Daren. The opening address was presented by Vice Chairman Song Yiqiao. The agenda for the first day highlighted presentations of Innovative Medical Technologies being introduced to the Chinese Healthcare Community for the first time by subsidiaries of Bridgetech. They included:

1. "The Study and Application of Nature's Cradle" by Parentech, Inc. 2. "The Study of Pulmonary Medication Technology and the Nebulizer Sonik LDI 20" by Evit Asia Inc. 3. "Noninvasive Magnetic Resonance guided Focused Ultrasound" by InSightec and Clarity Imaging.

100 attendees were expected for the first day. The actual number came closer to 200-250, filling the room to capacity with directors of large hospitals, high ranking officials representing different health departments in the region, government leaders and senior officials from SFDA, (the Chinese FDA).

"I can honestly say that the success of the conference exceeded all of our expectations," said Herb Wong, Chairman of Bridgetech. Comments from the attendees included; 'What amazing technology'; 'We welcome more of these technologies from the U.S.'; 'We are amazed at Bridgetech's ability to bring in the top class medical technology'; 'Incredible presentations'.

"We were lucky because we had several days to follow up with the officials from the CPPCC, the representatives from the Shanghai government and the SFDA after the conference was over. The CPPCC was most impressed by the quality and innovation presented by Bridgetech. They were very pleased to welcome a company that was 'bringing in technology that will improve the quality of life for the Chinese people and not just introduce another western consumer product.' They will begin to look for ways to expand our relationship.

"I can not tell you how impressed they were with the InSightec's ExAblate 2000. We had discussions until late in the evening, about expanding the scope of the applications far beyond fibroid tumors already cleared in the U.S. They immediately recognized the enormous potential. As a result, the SFDA is now making getting approval for Evit Asia's Sonik LDI 20 Nebulizer and InSightec's ExAblate Noninvasive Guided Focused Ultrasound a priority. The hospital directors and healthcare administrators want Parentech to expand sales of the Nature's Cradle nationally. As I said, it exceeded all of our expectations.

"I think the note I received from one of the InSightec executives who presented the first day, summed it up best:

'I would like to thank you for inviting InSightec to participate in "The Seminar on U.S. High Tech Products". I am taking back with me two main observations. First, is my appreciation of the "brain-power" and decades of business experience gathered at Bridgetech... Second, is the respect displayed towards Bridgetech by the CPPCC, SFDA, The City of Shanghai, the Media, and others. I believe that the combination of these two will lead Bridgetech to great achievements in China.' "We are truly building a world class healthcare entity," concluded Wong.
