Nucleation On-Demand Technology

With ControLyo®, GEA Lyophil has added nucleation on-demand technology to its pharmaceutical freeze drying range to improve yield and reduce cycle time. ControLyo®, supplied through a license agreement with Praxair, enables accurate control of the nucleation temperature of a solution, in many cases to within 1°C of the solution’s freezing point. The results are improved product uniformity, larger pore diameter, quality, yield and a reduction in cycle time by as much as 40%.

Multipurpose measurement device for pharmaceutical freeze dryers

LYOPLUS™ is also new from GEA Lyophil. It is a multipurpose measurement device for pharmaceutical freeze dryers that helps save money and time. The LYOPLUS™ mass spectrometer provides essential data from within the freeze dryer itself that allows operators to: detect very small silicone oil leaks inside the dryer; monitor the moisture content within the freeze drying chamber; identify the end point of primary and secondary drying; and detect leaks much faster and more easily.

High efficient and gentle H2O2- Gas Sterilization

The VAPOVAC™ H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) sterilizer technology, provides gentle, highly efficient, cost and energy efficient, FDA proven sterilization for freeze dryers. The technology can be provided to new or existing installations without over pressure vessels to provide a short, efficient sterilization cycle.

Automatic Loading and Unloading System for Freeze Dryer

ALUS is not new but it still represents essential, leading technology for the automatic loading and unloading of pharmaceutical freeze dryers and is the central exhibit of the GEA Pharma Systems stand. This year the ALUS on show will be equipped with the new Check & Sort application to guarantee efficient and reliable monitoring and tracking of the product. There will be a live demonstration on the stand.
