Antiepileptic Drugs May Not Raise Suicide Risk in Epilepsy Pts But Are Linked to Higher Risk in Pts With Depression or Without Epilepsy, Depression, Bipolar Disorder

The use of antiepileptic drugs does not appear to raise the risk of suicide beyond the increased risk already associated with the underlying conditions for which patients take these medicines, according to a report in the Aug. 5 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
