Oct 25 (Reuters) - Eye care products maker Advanced Medical Optics Inc (EYE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) reported a quarterly loss, hurt by the recall in May of one of its contact lens solutions. The company said it posted a third-quarter net loss of $25.9 million, or 43 cents per share, compared with a profit of $87.2 million, or $1.42 per share, in the year-earlier period. Analysts expected a loss of 43 cents per share, according to Reuters Estimates.
