Accelovance Chief Scientific Officer Robert C. deGroof, Ph.D. will join other selected industry executives at the Tech Council of Maryland/MDBio second installment of its Bio Breakfast Series, “Optimizing Clinical Development.” Dr. deGroof will draw on his 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry to provide insight and guidance on planning, managing and executing successful clinical programs. Johns Hopkins University, Montgomery County Campus in Rockville, Maryland will host the event on the 13th of December.

Before arriving at Accelovance, Dr. deGroof served as Senior Vice President of Drug Development for Ambit Biosciences where he managed clinical, toxicology, manufacturing, quality assurance and regulatory affairs for all of their products. He had similar responsibilities while serving as the Senior Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Alteon Inc. Similar leadership positions in drug development and regulatory affairs were held at Johnson and Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Additionally, for more than 10 years Dr. deGroof operated an independent consultancy for strategic development of prescription and non-prescription pharmaceuticals.
