The CMA Foundation is thrilled to announce that it is now accepting applications for the second annual Healthy Canadians Grants program.

OTTAWA, April 29, 2019 /CNW/ - The CMA Foundation is thrilled to announce that it is now accepting applications for the second annual Healthy Canadians Grants program. This year’s funding will support programs and initiatives addressing youth mental health and substance use. The 15 grants are available for community programs focused on reducing and preventing substance use, increasing resiliency, reducing stigma and decreasing barriers to mental health.

Healthy Canadians Grants are open to any registered charity or qualified donee in Canada addressing this year’s theme. All applications should demonstrate how the initiative will make a tangible difference in the community. Grant applications will be carefully reviewed and evaluated based on program criteria, including their fit with the identified theme, their impact on the community, their long-term feasibility and how innovative they are.

The CMA Foundation was created in 2017 with the goal of providing impactful giving to further excellence in health care. Last year, the Healthy Canadians Grants program provided 14 grants to organizations across the country supporting seniors’ wellness.

The deadline to apply for this year’s grants is May 31. For more details and to apply, please visit our website.

The CMA Foundation is the private foundation of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA). Through collaborative relationships with our partners, the CMA Foundation provides impactful giving to improve the health of Canadians and support excellence in health care.
