(TSX VENTURE:ZMS)(FRANKFURT:W1I) today announced test results for its new-generation solid-state photo detector, designated the surface Micro-pixel Avalanche Photo Diode (MAPD), demonstrated superior performance to existing photo multiplier tubes (PMT's). This newest generation of silicon-based photon counters offers the performance of PMT's in a compact and cost effective solid-state device.
