Wyeth Wins Texas Diet Drug Trial

MADISON, N.J., March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wyeth announced today that the jury in the case of Patricia Geers v. Wyeth in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in Midland found in favor of Wyeth.

The plaintiff was represented by the firm of George Fleming & Associates of Houston, Texas.

The trial began on February 21, 2006 before The Honorable Harry Hudspeth. The plaintiff alleged heart valve injury from the use of the diet drug Pondimin, a product once marketed by Wyeth.
