Earnings season for our Massachusetts biotech giants kicks off this week when Vertex Pharmaceuticals reports its third quarter financials on Tuesday evening, followed by Biogen on Wednesday morning.
I’ll make a prediction right here: There will likely be market-moving news coming out of one or both of those reports. But it won’t involve dollar signs for either one.
While probably just a fluke, it’s unusual for Vertex to be the first local biotech to give a quarterly update, as that honor usually goes to Biogen.
