Medical device company VistaMed has announced the creation of 125 new jobs as part of a €7 million investment in its Co Leitrim plants in Carrick-on-Shannon and Roosky. The announcement was made at the official opening of VistaMed’s new extension to its Carrick-on-Shannon manufacturing facility. VistaMed, which produces catheter and extrusion devices, said recruitment for the new posts had already begun and positions are expected to be filled by the end of the year.
