Prior to joining Vical, Dr. Mammen completed a 21-year career in the Army’s Medical Corps, retiring as a colonel and recipient of the Legion of Merit. His experiences have spanned the areas of clinical medicine, infectious disease research, medical diplomacy, clinical trials, vaccine program management, and public health.
