Ventria Bioscience and University of Colorado at Denver Awarded Grant to Study Treatment of Acetaminophen Overdose-Induced Liver Failure

FORT COLLINS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ventria Bioscience has received notification of funding for a research proposal submitted in collaboration with researchers at the University of Colorado at Denver’s Skaggs School of Pharmacy and the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center (Denver, Colo.). The 1-year, Phase I Small Business Technology Transfer Program (STTR) grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism is titled “Therapeutic Potential of Recombinant Human Lactoferrin in the Treatment of Acetaminophen Overdose-Induced Liver Failure” and will total approximately $200,000.
