BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- United BioSource Corporation (UBC) today announced the acquisition of iLearn, an Advanced Learning Management System developed by the UK-based provider of eContent solutions, IQ Consultancy. The robust web-based technology allows UBC to offer new enterprise learning services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. The acquisition is part of the UBC strategy of building integrated capabilities to meet growing demand by the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostics sectors for evidence-based product development and commercialization services.
The iLearn technology, to be renamed the "UBC Learning Zone", operates from a secure, validated web-based platform and will enable UBC to deliver effective, user friendly, training programs that can be accessed at any time from any location with an Internet connection. The UBC Learning Zone is capable of delivering didactic training presentations, instructor-led sessions, and supporting materials and documentation. UBC clients can use the UBC Learning Zone for a broad array of training and education needs, including investigator training, medical education for health care professionals, and a broad array of patient-based education, including disease management, drug compliance and patient retention programs. International training and education projects using the UBC Learning Zone have been successfully implemented at several leading pharmaceutical companies.
