UBTECH Robotics Names Jamie Sachs as Senior Director of Education

A division of UBTECH, a global leader in intelligent, humanoid robots for consumers, business, and industry, UBTECH Education’s NGSS-designed UKIT curriculum and leveled builder kits help educators seamlessly incorporate science and engineering instruction into K–12 classrooms.

Sachs will oversee development and implementation of the company’s educational programs and curricula, as well as wraparound services like professional development and district success. According to John Rhee, general manager of UBTECH North America, Sachs’s unique skill set will help the company accelerate the expansion of its high-quality line of programs for STEM+C learning.

Prior to joining UBTECH Education, Sachs served as the director of education for FIRST, a leading not-for-profit STEM engagement program for kids worldwide. During her tenure Sachs and her team enabled more than 30 districts to establish or expand robotics programs, providing 50,000 students with first-time access to robotics opportunities.

Sachs has also served in leadership positions at the New Tech Network, Mosaica Education, and the Southern Regional Education Board. Before joining the edtech world, Sachs worked as a math educator and school principal in the Atlanta area. She holds a Master of Education degree from East Tennessee State University and an Education Specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University.
