The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Kicks Off The 2015 Bay Area Man & Woman Of The Year Campaign

SAN FRANCISCO, March 17, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Northern California Chapter is launching its 2015 Bay Area Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign, enlisting influential and compassionate community leaders as candidates competing to raise funds for blood cancer research and cures. Celebrating its 25th year, the Bay Area Man & Woman of the Year campaign has 15 candidates vying for this year’s prestigious title.

The Man & Woman of the Year campaign is an annual 10-week fundraising competition between community leaders united by one goal, to use their leadership skills to raise funds to help blood cancer patients live longer and more fulfilling lives. The candidates compete in honor of the Bay Area Boy & Girl of the Year to raise the most funds for blood cancer research. This year’s Boy & Girl of the Year are Jack R. and Celia H., respectively, who are both local blood cancer patients. Every dollar counts as one vote and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of the campaign.
