A Brooklyn medical student may have found a way to save millions of women in poor countries from bleeding to death during childbirth. Mikail Kamal, 25, and his research team, discovered a blown up condom filled with saline water can put pressure on the uterus to reduce or stop bleeding until the woman is transferred to a hospital where doctors can use more sophisticated measures to cut off the potentially lethal hemorrhaging.
