Teijin Pharma Limited (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Osamu Nishikawa) announced today that it established a 50-50 joint venture with Laboratorios del Dr. Esteve S.A. (Head office: Barcelona, Spain; President: Antoni Esteve, hereafter “Esteve”), a major Spanish pharmaceutical company on February 5 (CET), to enter the home respiratory business in Europe. Osamu Nishikawa, president of Teijin Pharma, and Antoni Esteve, president of Esteve, have assumed the co-presidency of the joint venture.
