Stryker Corporation Employees Buck Trend of “Disengaged” Workforce Found in National Study

Stryker Corp. keeps tabs on how engaged its employees are and has been for decades because the company values passionate employees. A quick survey may seem arbitrary, but Stryker’s Human Resource Vice President Steve Benscoter said monitoring and encouraging engagement is a leading indicator for business outcomes. Sleepwalking employees who lack passion and pizzazz for their job are costing American companies $450 to $550 billion each year in lost productivity, a new study by Gallup reports.
