Strategic Research Institute Release: Strategic Pharmaceutical Branding Convention To Focus On Key Challenges Facing Rx Executives At 400-600 Attendee Show April 4-5, 2006 In New Brunswick, NJ

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Pharmaceutical marketing executives and higher level corporate strategists grappling with the changing marketplace for their products will be meeting in New Brunswick, NJ, in early April in an industry-wide convention focusing on the commercial aspects of the business, reports Strategic Research Institute.

The convention covers the main concerns top executives face: planning the product lifecycle, launch logistics, the changes occurring under the MMA, sales force effectiveness, and new regulatory initiatives, to name but a few. Another development is the changing face of the industry with the recent emergence of profitable, smaller pharmaceutical companies with lower revenue products. Such firms, like Forest Labs, MedImmune, and Cephalon, are profitable and often have robust pipelines themselves, but lack the resources of their larger counterparts, like Pfizer, Merck, and GlaxoSmithKline.

The convention, replete with 7 concurrent conference tracks is the “4th Pharmaceutical Marketing & Sales Global Summit (PMS)” an annual extravaganza scheduled to take place April 4-5, 2006.

The tracks are: Strategic Rx Branding Mid-Sized & Emerging Pharma Marketing Relationship Marketing Driving Sales Force Productivity Patient Level Data Integrating Patient Compliance OIG Compliant Pharma Marketing

Registrants to any meeting are able to attend sessions from the other meeting tracks.

The annual conference is expected to draw 400-600 attendees at a minimum from around the industry, and from pharmaceutical companies of all sizes. Large, mid-sized, and emerging companies poised to launch their first products and most in need of marketing expertise, will be in attendance in large numbers for the first time. The information and networking gathering is among the largest in the country. Frequent networking sessions for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors are coordinated to bring everyone together. Themed nightly functions are also offered to encourage and facilitate attendee socialization.

Contact Mark Alexay, the event organizer, to request the agenda. Final speaking and panel slots are still available and proposals may be submitted through Thursday, December 22. Submissions should be titled, 50-100 words and sent to Mark Alexay, Executive Vice President, Life Sciences, Strategic Research Institute and event organizer at malexay@srinstitute.com or 212.967.0095, extension 251.
