(Nasdaq – SDIX) – today announced that Deborah Day Barbara has joined the Company as its Vice President of Business Development, effective October 13, 2008. Ms. Barbara was most recently Vice President of Business Development and Licensing for Ore Pharmaceuticals in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Ms. Barbara has over 20 years of experience in the areas of business development, licensing, intellectual property management, strategic planning and technology development. While working at Ore Pharmaceuticals, Ms. Barbara led drug evaluation partnership negotiations with several prominent pharmaceutical companies, resulting in valuable business relationships and a pipeline of clinical stage drug candidates. Immediately prior to joining Ore Pharmaceuticals, Ms. Barbara was Senior Director of Business and Technology Development for Johns Hopkins University, and was responsible for developing numerous licensing and research agreements. She also spent 11 years at Amersham Life Sciences in a variety of sales leadership positions.
