In the fall of 2006 Michael Delander partnered with Bill Milne to co-produce the most complete work on the topic of Vitamin D to be publicly released. What is unique about the work is that it contains 947distinctly unique vitamin D molecules in a single source.
Why is this of value? Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to numerous diseases states, including cancer, TB, and immunological disorders. Providing a single source to search for compounds, the book allows scientists and researchers to focus their efforts on developing medicinal therapies rather than list generation.
For those that are familiar with the literature of Vitamin D, there is an estimated 2000-3000 analogues thought to exist. This work was an attempt to locate and catalog them for review by professionals developing therapies for various indications. Many of the analogs listed have unique properties for individual disease states.

About Bill Milne:
George W. A. (Bill) Milne spent 35 years as a research chemist at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, USA. He worked on the use of spectroscopy for structure determination of organic compounds, and on molecular modeling in the design of drugs for the treatment of cancer and AIDS. He has been active for many years in the field of chemical information and chemical computation, and between 1990 and 2005 served as the Editor of the American Chemical Society’s Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences. He has edited over 15 books, published by Ashgate and Wiley and in 1999, jointly with Stephen Heller, was awarded the Skolnik award of the Chemical Information Division of the American Chemical Society.
