BOERNE, TX – June 28, 2011 – Following an agreement reached May 23, 2011, Stanbio Laboratory – a leader in medical testing and diagnostic devices – has been purchased by United Kingdom-based EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc. The transaction was formally completed June 17, 2011.

Other recent EKF Diagnostics Holdings acquisitions include EKF-diagnostic GmbH, Quotient Diagnostics Limited and Argutus Medical Limited. These portfolio additions are strategically aimed at serving the growth-oriented point-of-care diagnostic markets including the increasingly robust diabetes testing market.
