St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Benefits From Procter & Gamble Product Purchases

CINCINNATI, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- For more than 40 years St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has worked to find cures for catastrophic childhood diseases, mainly pediatric cancers. Throughout the month of October, consumers can help contribute to this worthy cause by purchasing some of their favorite brands like Tide, Bounty, and Pampers from Target locations.

During the month of October, purchases of participating Procter & Gamble (P&G) products at Target stores will help raise up to $600,000 for St. Jude. Participating brands include Tide, Pampers, Bounty, Charmin, Always, Tampax, Olay Definity, Downy, Bounce, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Iams, Febreeze, Gillette Fusion, Secret, All Spice and Crest.

“St. Jude is very grateful to Procter & Gamble, Target and their consumers for their continued support. This allows us to keep alive the mission of Danny Thomas that no child should die in the dawn of life,” said John P. Moses, CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising organization of St. Jude. “Working together we can give children a fighting chance at healthy lives.”

St. Jude is the largest childhood cancer research center in the world in terms of the number of patients enrolled in research protocols and successfully treated. Since its inception in 1962, St. Jude has developed protocols that have brought survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent to more than 70 percent overall.

Funds raised though this promotion will support the many programs and research at St. Jude such as the international outreach program. For more information, please visit http://www.stjude.org.
