BOTHELL, Wash., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SCOLR Pharma, Inc. announced today that representatives from its research and development team will be attending the 2008 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Annual Meeting to be held November, 16-20, 2008 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
SCOLR Pharma will be exhibiting at the AAPS show in booth #708 where its representatives will be available to engage the pharmaceutical scientific community about applications of its patented, CDT(R) oral drug delivery technologies. The Company will also make a total of eight poster presentations over three days, one of which will focus on its 12-hour extended-release (ER) ibuprofen for the over-the-counter (OTC) market. Ibuprofen is an analgesic that is sold in immediate-dose products as Advil(R) and Motrin(R), among others, as well as generically. SCOLR recently reported favorable top-line results from its pivotal Phase III trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of its 12 hour CDT 600 mg ER ibuprofen for the OTC market. The trial incorporated FDA special protocol assessment design elements, met both co-primary endpoints (p<0.0001), and had no significant adverse events.
