EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: SVNT - News) today reported financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2007. For the third quarter, the Company ended with a net loss of $14.6 million, or $0.28 per basic and diluted share on total revenues of $2.6 million. The company ended the quarter with $153.3 million in cash and investments, a reduction of $10.4 million and $26.1 million in the third quarter and year to date 2007, respectively.
