8 August 2013 -- The BioIndustry Association is running its busiest events, missions and meetings programme ever this autumn with over 35 opportunities for members to network, develop their business and make new contacts.
A key development this season are new life science trade missions to Brazil, Australia and China for which the BIA has secured funding opportunities for UK life science companies through UK Trade & Investment.
The highlight of the domestic calendar is the BIA UK Bioscience Forum on 10 October with keynote speeches from Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and BIO’s CEO Jim Greenwood giving his first UK address in eight years - with our autumn reception a must-not-miss event in the evening.
The BIA is also committed to ensuring that there are accessible events for smaller companies around the country focused on issues that most directly affect their business - like our update briefings on how to get the most from the Biomedical Catalyst.
Steve Bates, BIA Chief Executive Officer, said:
“With a growing membership and more events and opportunities to engage I am delighted to see the UK bioscience ecosystem growing from strength to strength.
I’m particularly proud that we can help showcase UK biotech excellence around the globe this autumn.”
Looking forward to 2014, the BIA will be kicking of the new year with its signature BIA Gala Dinner at the Natural history museum on 30 January.
