March 24, 2011 -- The Saudi Ministry of Health will be organizing the inaugural edition of the Health Insurance Conference – “Options & Prospects” at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre from April 10 to 11, 2011 (6 -7 Jumada Al-Awal 1432H). Organised concurrently with Saudi Medicare 2011 – The 14th International Healthcare, Hospital Supplies and Medical Equipment Show, the 1st Saudi Health Insurance Conference will focus on two important themes affecting healthcare insurance in Saudi Arabia: “Basics and Concepts of Health Insurance (Applications and Vision)” and “Global Comparison of Health Care Systems in Accordance with the Political, Economic Challenges and Future Prospects”.
The conference will host prominent international personalities from USA, UK, Canada, France and Germany, among others, as speakers at the conference. The conference will provide an overview of the health insurance system adopted in Saudi Arabia and will look into the future prospects of the health insurance implementation in the country. Moreover, discussions will also focus on healthcare best practices adopted by different countries as well as recent developments in the global health insurance sector.

Aside from the conference, Saudi Medicare 2011 will also be held concurrently with Saudi Eye Care 2011 – The 7th International Eye Care and Optical Technology Exhibition and Saudi Dentistry 2011 – The 10th International Dental Health Exhibition and Saudi Lab 2011 – The International Laboratory and Analytics Exhibition. Saudi Medicare 2011 will run from April 10 to 13 (6 to 9 Jumada Al-Awal 1432) at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre.
The 2nd Radiology Technologists Conference will also be held concurrently with Saudi Medicare 2011. Organized by the General Directorate of Hospital Affairs Administration of Radiology, the Radiology Technologists Conference will gather experts from all over the world who will share new applications, procedures, researches, trials and needs in the field of medical radiology.
