Dr. George Church, one of the originators of the Human Genome Project and currently a professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School, has announced his intention to compete in the $10 million Archon X PRIZE for Genomics. His team, the Personal Genome X-Team (PGx), consists of some of the top minds in genomics and device research and development in the world.
