Researchers at the Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (Montreal, QC) and McMaster University (Hamilton, ON) have identified a new gene that plays a role in breast cancer.The gene, beta1-integrin, has been shown to be critical in the initiation of tumour growth and development of breast cancer.
