PARIS (AFX) - Pfizer Inc said it is calling an extraordinary meeting of its French works council tomorrow at which it will discuss a scheme to overhaul its human and veterinary health activities. The French trade union CFDT claimed Pfizer will announce a Europe-wide reorganisation and CFDT representative Yves Couturier said the trade union fears numerous jobs could go. "250 jobs are vulnerable to being cut" at the commercial headquarters, upon which 2,300 of Pfizer's 5,000 French staff depend, he said.
